Janet Crawford is Founder and CEO of Cascadance and an Advisor to T2 Venture Capital. She has two decades of experience consulting with and coaching executives in Fortune 500 companies and high potential start-ups. A pioneer in combining traditional leadership development with cutting-edge insights from neuroscience, her work cultivates organizational capacity for productivity, innovation and collaboration in the 21st Century. As a female scientist and a twenty-year veteran of Silicon Valley, Janet is keenly interested in the issues facing women in science and technology. For over a decade, she has studied and applied research on unconscious bias and power dynamics. In February 2014, she created the Women and Innovation Lab, a forum for investigating hidden barriers to feminine leadership. She has published in The Guardian and Forbes and gives keynote speeches globally, including TEDx San Diego 2014.

Along with renowned somatic leadership practitioner, Wendy Palmer, Janet co-authored Leadership Embodiment: How the Way We Sit and Stand Can Change the Way We Think and Speak. She holds a Masters from Stanford University and a BA from U.C. Berkeley. She is a member of the Association of Psychological Science, The Social and Affective Neuroscience Society, and former faculty at the JFK University Graduate School of Psychology and the Kauffman Foundation Center for Venture Education.
